Big Changes This Month for Olympic Force and Olympic Sports Center

Press Release:

September 14th, 2018

Bremerton, Washington -

The Olympic Sports Center and the Olympic Force are announcing that as of September 30th, 2018, the indoor center at Pendergast Park in Bremerton will be renamed as Olympic Peninsula Sports (or Oly-Pen Sports); the Olympic Force soccer club will officially be renamed Olympic Peninsula Force (or Oly-Pen Force).   Both Oly-Pen Sports and Oly-Pen Force will use the same logo going forward (pictured above).

We are making these changes for two main reasons.  First we feel that “Oly-Pen” more completely describes the community area of the entire Olympic Peninsula.  As we are striving to help and support the entire area, we felt that changing the name would feel more inclusive to everyone.

The second reason is to clearly distinguish ourselves from any confusion or possible mis-association with the US Olympic Committee.  Apparently are reputation has exceeded our beautiful little town.

In addition, we are proud to announce that Chase LeFors has been promoted to the position of General Manager of Oly-Pen Sports. He replaces Rick Wright who has retired from this position but will continue to assist from the board level.  Chase is excited about the future and we are looking forward to the changes that will be made in the coming months in an effort to improve the experience of all our wonderful customers.  If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions for him, or if you just want to wish him congratulations, please send him an email at: Chase@OlyPenSports.com.
